Cost of refurbished Motorola DROID?

My Motorola DROID recently hasn't been working. When I try to power it on nothing comes on the screen. Its completely black. I went to Verizon to try and get a replacement. They told me they couldn't replace it for me because I had a crack in the side of my screen (its the smallest crack it looks like a scratch) but its physically damage so they can't do anything for me. They told me I couldn't even get a refurbished phone for $50 like I was able to do with the LG voyager I had last year. The Verizon employee said my option was to use an old phone, pay full price for a new DROID (yeah right $600 no way), or pay for a certified pre-owned phone.

I looked on the website to see which phones were included and the DROID was. I was just curious if anyone knew how much a certified pre-owned DROID would cost.

I went to the Motorola website to see how much it would cost to repair my phone. They told me $75 plus shipping. I'm just trying to figure out my options cost wise.

A "small" crack would indicate the phone has probably been dropped.

Yes a small crack does indeed violate warranty. If you want to keep your phone,then go ahead and pay the $75.

A refurbished Droid is 289 I believe. And your screen did not go black from that stratch. My screen went out then my bfs screen went out. There was no issue there. Just POOF! Not working anymore. Then they tried to tell me it was water damanged when there wasn't. No red indications of water damage and they wouldn't even check to see if there was any water damage in the phone. I'am truely disappointed in their services as of lately. If you have insurance on your phone its cheaper then getting it repaired and you get it faster.

well..phones will be dropped. There is no specs of how far this phone can be dropped. My mother makes parts for phones and other electric devices and they have to put into their specs different things the phone can handle.
