I upgraded to OS v4.7.0.148 on my BB Storm 9530 and now I cannot set ringt ones or alerts. What gives?

Thanks for the suggestion about pulling the battery. I gave it a try and it was no help in restoring the ring tones or alerts.
For the OS version, go to OPTIONS>ABOUT.
Go to Crackberry forums and post this problem on there. Also call 800-922-0204 to Verizon's CS, push prompts to get to tech support and be sure you say BB tech. Also be sure you use another phone to call them on. Did you back up? If so re install back up.

Yes .148 is the current version until 5.0 comes out soon for the Storm.

did you do a full wipe of your os then installed 4.7.0.148? be sure to back up files. i've had .148 before but its been a while...you can set ring tones and alerts....if you go into sounds on the home screen and scroll down you should see set ring tones/alerts....if you are not able to reset ring tones/alerts reinstall OS or wait til monday til 5.0.0.323 comes out officially...which is an awesome OS and you wouldnt care about .148 anymore.
