When I make an outgoing call, the number I called calls me back in the middle of the call

This sounds very strange, but when I make outgoing calls, while the conversation is going on, I hear a notification telling me someone is calling me---and it is that same phone number that I just called.

Apart from not making any calls, what can I do to avoid this? It is pretty annoying.

What device do you have?

Just to clarify, you'll call a number, they answer, you're chatting away and then their number beeps through as if they are calling you back?

Is it always the same person? Or it does this for every person you call?
