Why can't I download mms messages?

Galaxy S6, had it for a month or so. Was working fine until maybe the last week, when I noticed that I cannot download and MMS messages over the Verizon network. If I connect to WiFi, I receive the message right away. I am using the Message+ app on the phone (Verizon app), but have also tried a 3rd party messaging app and confirmed I still cannot download the messages unless connecting first to WiFi. Data is enabled (4GLTE connection currently), I can connect to the internet or use any other apps that require a data connection. I get a 'Download' button in the conversation that when clicked it appears to try to download, but with no result. I get a message that says "Network not available. Will try again later or over WiFi If integrated messaging is available" (I think I got that all down right, the message does not stay up long). No idea why the network is only unavailable for these messages.

There was an android update a couple weeks ago, and I do not remember the issue going back that far. Just for good measure I have also uninstalled apps from the last ~2 weeks and restarted the phone, and this seemed to fix it for now. There were only two apps and I will try reinstalling one by one, although the only app with any network privileges whatsoever was imgur.

I want to make sure you’re not missing out on any important MMS that comes through your phone, Searious. Was there any changes to your phone when this started last week (software updates or any new 3rd party applications)? Are you able to send picture messages with out any issues? Please keep us posted.
