So I just bought a Droid on the 23rd of December and have been loving the experience thus far, with one annoying exception...
As it is currently, every time I try to access the default "Music" app on my Droid, it pulls up a black window as if it was trying to access the app, however, my Droid completely freezes up and will not to respond to any input whatsoever. The program eventually times out and Android asks me whether or not I want to force close the program, or if it I want to continue to "wait" for it.
The problem itself started on the morning of the 24th. I had been using the Droid to play music throughout the night to help me sleep since I cannot stand stark silence. It was a strange occurrence, considering the phone was playing the music just fine, yet when I restart the phone in the morning (I think I restarted cause it was being slow) and try to access the music again, the whole thing locks up.
Any Ideas?
A thought occurs as I type this question out... Do you think that maybe the Droid is freezing while its attempting to load an MP3 or perhaps an MP3 Tag from the current MP3 it last had in its playlist prior to being closed down? I haven't attempted a battery pull nor have I tried to remove or operate the Droid without its SD Card.
In any case, I'll be going to the local Verizon store to see if they can figure this out or not, but I figured I'd also hit up the Verizon community boards to see if you people can help me out as well.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
