I have a bad screen and need to transfer my contacts to a new phone. Is there any way to do this without the use of my screen?

Have you tried Samsung Kies?
Kies will not work if he can't unlock his screen initially.
Oh, I missed where OP stated screen was locked. My bad.
He says his screen is broken. If there is a lock screen even if there is no passlock of any type Kies will ask to unlock the phone. It's one of the annoying details even if you have no passlock.
