Use Message Plus on old deactivated phone

I would like to use use message plus on my old cell phone that is no longer active (similar to using message plus on PC or tablet). Is there any way to set it up. I have tried but it seems to want to work like it is my priary phone and of course the message synch and sneds fail since the phone is no onger active.

You could download a different app and use it on wi-fi; I personally use WhatsApp. If your phone is no longer active it then is much like an iPod; connect to wi-fi to download games, play games, browse the web etc.
