Cost?

I currently have an LG Enact that I've had for almost seven months, and wish for a new phone. One of my friends has a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that he does not use anymore, and he said he could give it to me. If I were to drop the Enact, transfer all that I have to the Note, then save the Enact for a 'backup', if you will, how much money would it cost to do this since the Enact is still under the two year contract?

It is free to switch devices, I believe you are asking because when you bought the Enact you have to pay a $40 fee. However to switch now is free.

Do you use Verizon Cloud or another Cloud based service to back up your contacts/pictures/videos/messages/files? If you do I suggest you back up one last time from the Enact and then when you move the SIM to the Note 3 you'll import what you want from the Cloud. If you save your contacts to your e-mail (g-mail or otherwise) your contacts will show up when you log into the phone using said e-mail account.

Did you get the Enact on Edge or you paid for it up front at full cost and are actually in a 2 year contract?

You can activate a phone at any time, if the Enact and Note use the same SIM card you simply swap it out. Or you can go to My Verizon>My Device>Activate or Switch Device. If the Enact is a 3G device and the Note a 4G device, you'll want to go to a Verizon Corporate store and get a free 4G SIM card though.

I'm assuming you didn't do an Edge agreement for the LG Enact, but just in case, if you deactivate it and are getting a line discount, that will go away if it gets activated on a different line so just be aware.

I used gmail for the enact when I set up everything, I should try to use

the Verizon Cloud. Is it online or in store?
