Is this a trial an error until it shows up or is there a specific time tonight when we will get it? I keep getting an update on my Desktop Mgr. that says core 4.7 upgrade? Mine is a late August phone and has all the latest as far as I know files , software on it? I keep declining it.
I continue to get the core 4.7 thing, too. I thought I was up to date?

It is just showing you what update you have installed on your computer and phone. After you download the 5.0 upgrade tonight, it will show the 5.0 update.
I've been reading in many places that the update has been pushed to the 26th. The schedule release was 25th at 6:00pm EST, so if you don't see it after that time then check it tomorrow.
I don't know where you get this stuff. All the material I have says it will be released 10pm Eastern time. So Desktop Manager shouldn't show anything up until then.

Just a quick reminder to all Blackberry users to backup your device with Blackberry Desktop Manager. Any of you Storm users who are planning to upgrade whenever the upgrade comes out, it will be a good idea to have a backup of your data just in case of problems so you can have something to fall back on. What was the old saying, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Leaked just a while ago.
Just plugged in my Storm to my computer and opened Desktop Manager. The new 5.0 update showed up. Downloading it now!
The official 5.0 release for the Storm has been released my VZW. See my post above for the link.
