Black Screen

Having a problem with my S4. Blank screen, I can power it on and it makes the Verizon noise, but screen continues to stay blank. No damage, no moisture, it sounds like it is receiving notifications but screen stays black. Tried a reset by holding the Power button, Volume up key, and home key, but not even the reset question is black. Anyone have an idea how to fix my screen?

This happened to two of my wife's S4's.   In both cases there was a problem with the screen not related to damage, but some inherent underlying deficiency in the construction.   Both times the phone was replaced under warranty.   Suggest you take your phone in to Verizon shop and have an agent there confirm your phone was not damaged.

By the way, this seems to be a not uncommon problem with the S4.   Web searches will get a number of hits on this problem.
