What model charge pad are you using? If you power on your charge pad and place your S6 Edge on the pad, does it commence charging?
I own the same model. and place it on a local charge pad a coworker owns, and S6 Edge commences charging automatically.

I Purchased a couple of non Samsung charging pads. One works, one does not..
I Have a koolpad which is a rectangular pad about the size of the Note phones, it works on all my wireless charging devices. I have a smaller round pad (2" diameter) which worked for a while, but no longer works with most of my devices
HOW, is simple. Plug in the pad and set your phone on top. If it fails to work, the pad or the charger in the phone is defective. You can test the phone at any Starbucks, which has QI chargers in every store.
