I am getting a Blackberry Pearl from a friend, I've heard that you have to have a certain plan to be able to use this. How do I know if I can use it with my plan, and if it will be compatible. I don't need to use e-mail feature on it, I have that at home. I currently have a Samsung U-550, which is obviously old, my renew date is not until May 2010. I really need this phone! Can anyone help me with some answers please...thanks, Jenn

You can keep your existing voice and text plan however you have it set up now, that will not change. The additional feature you will need to add is a $30 data plan for unlimited web/email access. It's a bolt on feature that will be added to your existing set up.
