Messaging (invalid address)

I have a peculiar issue. My brother has iPhone 6 (ATT). I have Samsung 6 (Verizon). Phone #'s are valid and operate. Messaging (both ways) gets an invalid address message. My wife iPhone6 (Verizon) works fine for both of us sending and receiving. Contact lists have been checked. Any ideas?

You came to the right place for assistance JonandAmy. Let's take a look and get this resolved for you. May I ask are you able to call each other without any issues? Also, are both of you using the stock messaging app? Habe you ever at any time owned a Verizon iPhone prior to your Samsung 6? We want to ensure that this is not an iMessage related issue. If you can provide us with these details then we can look into this for you.

Thank you, no issues calling. First iPhone for my brother (ATT).

Presumed stock messaging for both. Brother to wife no issues each way

(both iPhone ). Brother to me, calling OK, texting fails (invalid address )

both ways.
