CHANGE THE COLOR OF THE TEXT MESSAGE CHARACTERS(abc,123ETC).? currently have a light gray backgound with white lettering , makes it difficult to see. I have tried many remedies , none work

Depending on which phone you have, you might options for different themes, which will change backgrounds and such. Check in your settings menu under display options. Most basic phones also have settings that allow you to change font color and size.
