Check your photo gallery on the phone - pix should be there, saved at least to the phone. You can set to back up to Google, or other cloud storage too. Then even if the phone is inaccessible, your photos are accessible.
From google you can download to your computer, burn to a CD/DVD, or otherwise save the pix.
