S6 randomly goes to lock screen while in use

My S6 will randomly bring up the lock screen while I"m using my phone. I'll be watching a movie or scrolling through facebook when everything will clear off the screen showing only my lock screen background for a few seconds then bring up the full lock screen requiring me to swipe to unlock my phone. If I receive a call during this time, I am unable to answer it.

Has anyone had this before? I've already reset my phone to factory settings and that has not fixed the issue.

Im having the same problem and I havent wven had this phone a month

Maybe I'm going crazy, but now when I plug in my phone at night, I swear I'll randomly hear the phone make the noise it makes when I do unlock it. Either way, the problem is getting worse.

Anyone with Verizon have a solution for this? The phone is getting pretty unusable at this point.

How long has this been a concern for? What patterns have you noticed? Describe what happens when a call comes in, and you are not able to answer it. When you factory reset your device, did the applications automatically reload back into your device?

It's been an issue for about a month now. It used to be about once a week where I'd have the issue but it has gotten worse to the point where it's multiple times a day.

There seems to be no real pattern to it. It doesn't matter what app I'm using at the time or how long it's been since I last rebooted my phone or how long my phone has been unlocked.

There are two scenarios when I cannot answer a call - The first is I'm in middle of using the phone, the screen starts to lock itself and the phone starts to ring. IN this case I can see the answer and reject icons however no matter how many times I swipe to answer my phone it never responds and I miss the call. The other scenario is I've failed to get the phone to unlock (because it wasn't responding to my swiping) and the screen goes black. If the call comes in at this point my phone rings but nothing ever shows up on the screen to allow me to answer or reject the call.

After the factory reset, the only applications that automatically reloaded were the Verizon-controlled apps. I have manually reloaded a few that I need for work & travel but no anti-virus or security software has been installed or anything like that.
