how do I get text to speech on my galaxy s6

I am unable to get text to speech to operate on my Galaxy S6. I went online to find the answer and the explanation said it was simple. I followed the directions and came to a dead end when it told me to look for "recent apps" in the S Voice app. I could not find "recent apps" anywhere. It told me to turn on drive mode, and I couldn't find that either.

I love my text to speech and want you to be able to enjoy it, too! Let's take a closer look here at your S6 and see what is occurring. Now just to get a little more information from you, are you trying to use the text to speech in the text messaging app (if so what message app do you use)? Or is it in any other apps (Google, email, etc)?

The speech to text feature has disappeared on my s5 Samsung , I've tried going into the text setting to switch it to/back to goggle search

I appreciate you getting back to me with what app you are using. That is very helpful. When you get in the Verizon Message App, have the contact selected, & keyboard pulled up, are you noticing a microphone anywhere? Either bottom left next to the space bar or possibly upper right in bar where possible words pop up? If you see the microphone, what happens when you tap on it?

Im having the same issue, my keyboard does have a microphone but it sends it as a sound message rather then changing it to text, i dont want that.
