Every several hours during the day I suddenly stop getting texts. I have to restart my phone then the old texts come in. Is there anything I can do before a hard reset?

So, you tried my suggestion and it did not work?
No I clearly am asking for other suggestions other than the catch all reset
that will take me half a day to reconfigure. Reset can be given as answer
to all problems.
