Screen went black after camera use

I was just using my Note to take pictures, and after the screen timed out - It went black and i cannot get it to turn back on. This phone is litterally brand new, not even a week old yet and obviously never been dropped. No matter how many times I pull the battery - it will not turn back on?

Oh my, I would also be concerned if the screen on my brand new phone went blank. Let's get your phone up and running. Did you recently install any new third party apps or software when the screen went blank? Has your phone been exposed to any water damage?
