LG Cosmos 3 Email Problem

I have an LG Cosmos 3 phone that I received at the end of October, and I have been unable to access my verizon.net email account on the phone. I always get an error message that states: "Security Error: The server certificate could not be verified. Can this be resolved? I have contacted tech support twice with no luck."

He is using the Myriad Mobile Browser. None of the Email providers work [Yahoo, AOL, etc.]. Half the pre-loaded web sites suffer from the same problem. Here are the settings under "Encryption"

Authentication Caching: On

Root Certificate: 5 issuers listed

Current Certificate: This session was not established using a secure connection.

Myraid Browser version 6.2.3.2 Universal Edition

Encryption by RSA Data Security, Inc

Email providers and most web sites have this security error.

SO, what is the solution???
