Screen Lock Password Change

Hello, I am simply trying to change my screen lock password but can't seem to figure out how. When I go into settings and lock screen, and then click on my screen lock it simply asks me to verify my password. There is NO option to change it. Every time I do a search online, it only pulls up info on what to do if you forgot your password, which I have not done. Can someone please just simplify this for me. I really need to get this change ASAP. Thanks so much!

You may need to clear credentials first, i.e., settings > lock screen and security > other security settings > clear credentials (path may be slightly different)

If you go back into the settings menu, click 'lock screen' click, 'screen lock' and confirm password. If you want to change the current password simply click the 'password lock' and it will automatically prompt you to enter the new password. If you don't want a password, simply click 'none' or one of the other 'lock' options.

What are the options you get once you 'confirm' your password?

Nothing. It just says confirm password or cancel. It's bizarre. There is

absolutely NO option for change it. I when into every other setting I

thought made sense.

You can't send attachments to the community via email. You need to use the desktop view and the text box dialog to add the the images.

I want you to be able to change your password. If you have the latest update on your phone you will need to go to Settings>Lock Screen>Screen Lock>and you should be able to select the password. It will ask you to put your password and once you have done that then you will be able to change it to no security.
