Lost text messages on a galaxy 3. Just disappeared. Anyway to retreive them ?

I'm terribly sorry to hear your texts have gone missing. That would certainly concern me as well as I have a lot of messages that matter to me on my device. The only way to retrieve them would be if you have them backed up somewhere such as the Verizon Cloud. http://vz.to/16bLoV6 Do you know if they are backed up anywhere?
