My phone is restarting on its own, usually after setting it down somewhere

My phone is restarting many times each day. Usually after set it down somewhere or bump it up against something. I've checked to make sure that my cover is on properly and the restart button is not being mashed by the case. Has anyone had this kind of issue before?

Have you removed the cover and checked the battery is seated properly or just try wiggling it a bit to see if it causes the reboot.  Beyond that try to verify that it is impact that causes the reboot and not software, you can try booting into safe mode (long press power button then long press Power off on screen until it prompts to boot into safe mode). If it doesn't reboot in that mode then it is most likely an app that you have installed causing problems. If it does continue it is probably a hardware problem.
