Can the volume control external bar be overridden with software to avoid unwanted volume reductions and related missed phone calls? I frequently find my phone volume turned way down making it inaudible and calls are missed.?
You've come to the right place for answers Jim0646. I welcome the opportunity to address this for you. The volume control bar cannot be overridden via the device software on its own. If however, you're using some type of do not disturb or sleep mode, it is possible for those settings to control the phone's volume during those times. Typically, if the volume is adjusting, it's due to the side buttons being pressed. Do you have a case or anything on your phone that may be pressing those buttons? Do you place the phone into a holster or inside of your pocket?
