My phone only charges when the charger is plugged in and held at a particular angle. Is this covered under the warranty or do I need to file an insurance claim?
I hate when charging issues like that happen, it's like don't sneeze or move an inch or my phone will stop charging and die. The manufacturer warranty would cover charging issues due to defect like if the port malfunctioned, or came loose for any reason other than physical damage.
If the port look clean, (no debris) not bent, or corroded and the phone doesn't have other damage indicators like cracks, dents or moisture you can get a free warranty replacement. If not insurance, repair or other purchase options would be cheaper.
Just in case check the issue on your phone with a different outlet and charger, just to make sure the problem is not with those if you haven't yet. Chargers can also carry warranties, or can have issues with cord or tip bends.
