if my s7e arrives at the store 3/9 can the store activate as soon as it arrives?

s7e arrives at We r Wireless store tomorrow 3/9. Store says they can't activate until 3/11? is this true?

I was informed by a Verizon district representative that I had to wait until 3/11 the store held my phone. So I be picking it up tomorrow.
