Why can't I store anything from Verizon Messages on my SD card?

So I got my Galaxy S7 Edge last night and after some activation issues I thought I was ready to go this morning. Yet, I have came up with an issue in regards to the Verizon Messages app and wanted to know if anybody else has seen this.

When I attempt to save a picture, I am getting an error "Failed - SD Card Not Available" whether I have a card installed or not. Now I have attempted to reset the phone and everything, but it still gives me the issue. As a one last attempt, I switched over to the base messaging app for the phone and the picture saved no problem. Any ideas?

I appreciate it! I was actually just able to fix it with a little search through the phone. Since it comes preinstalled on the device, the settings are defaulted to "no" permission with storage. Once I changed that, it was fixed.
