Why doesn't the calendar app show any holidays after Thanksgiving 2016?
Most likely your broken Samsung calendar is linked to your Google account calendar. Google was correct and Samsung synced it.
Heyhoss, we want you to miss any important events afer Thanksgiving. Are you using the calandar feature on your device? Did you download a 3rd party Calendar application to your phone? Which make/model phone do you have?

Yes, I am using the calendar feature/app that came on the phone. I have not downloaded a 3rd party calendar app. I have the Galaxy S6. It list all the holidays through November 2016 then starting in December 2016 and going through 2017 it does not list any holidays???
Heyhoss, we want you to be able to plan ahead. I see that there was a recent software update for that device which made changes to the calander feature on your phone. For more information regarding the changes implemented with that udpate, click the link below:

I downloaded and installed this update on 12/9/15. This update had nothing to do with the google calendar app. When I go into the calendar, in the upper right hand corner, I click on More, then click on manage calendars. "Holidays in the United States" is turned ON but holidays listed in the calendar only go through November 2016. As I stated above, no holidays are listed starting in December 2016?? Any ideas??
