Suddenly unable to open multimedia messages. What has changed?

As of two days ago I can no longer open group Multimedia Messages. This was not a problem on Friday the 19th, but then on Saturday the 20th it stopped working. Why? It appears that the MM's from IPhones will no longer open and or download no matter what method I try. I have attempted to use Data only and Wifi only and then having both active but still the MM's will not download.

Anyone else suddenly having this problem????

We want you to have access to all your multimedia messages. Are you using the default text messaging application. Any new software updates?

I am using the default text messaging application and as stated in my initial message it was working fine on Friday night. I did download an Instagram App on Saturday but that is all.

I also find that this is happening when it is a group text and may or may not contain a link or pic.

That makes perfect sense, swood229.
Since multi recipient messages convert to multi media messages, this would explain why the group messages are affected as well. What error is appearing when you try to access a multimedia message? What errors are you seeing?
