How do I turn my mobile data back on?

I have a Samsung 6 phone that won't connect to data un less connected to wifi. My mobile data in settings is turned on but the 4glte logo is still dimmed out. Is there another place where this should be turned on?

Since I made this post I tried turning off / on the phone. When it came back on it stared working correctly. Hopefully all it needed was a reboot. I will keep an eye on it.

try it in safe mode. if it works there then an app is causing this

Your device should definitely be able to connect to cell data. Let's look further into this for you. How long has it been like this? What zip code are you in? Are you having issues with just data or calls/texts too?
