My dad has the LG G3 and already has Marshmallow 6.0 update, but my phone Samsung Galaxy S5 has not received the Marshmallow 6.0 update when is the update going to hit the GS5?
Drunder39, please know that this is indeed where you will see announcements when the software rolls out to the S5. While this has not happened yet, our news page is where you will see the announcement when this software does roll out to the S5.LorenB_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupportIf my response answered your question please click the Correct Answer button under my response. As a Galaxy S5 user myself, Jibbss, I too am anxious for any and all updates to my nearly 2-year-old device. As to the when, regretfully, we do not have an expected time frame to point towards. We do have a directory of when the latest software was released for each of our devices here: http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/software-updates/ . Again, I know that this information is from the past. However, when the updates are dispatched for the S5, then this page will be updated accordingly. Is there something that’s currently not working on your S5?DavidH_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupportIf my response answered your question please click the Correct Answer button under my response. My phone is on the security patch from November, 2015. Samsung has released the monthly security updates to Verizon through February 2016. Why have they not been pushed to the end users? I would also assume that Verizon has the 5.1.1 update, that AT&T pushed relatively bug free in October, and they're still dragging their feet 4 months later. Also, why does Verizon disable the fm radio in our phones? Why does Verizon disable the ability to install the stock Samsung web browser (it's a great browser, and has ad block features) in our phones? I really wish Verizon would drop it with the bloatware altogether, so we could get a timely software update!
From what I am reading in the different tech sites, Verizon GS5 should get Marshmallow March/April 2016 and the S6 is supposedly getting now or it's rollout is imminent.
Drunder39, we are anxious to get Marshmallow out to our customers and have indeed started to get this moving. Yeah 2 years old and been junk since the 5.0 update.
Lankylegs, updates are a nice treat for all phones. Even though the S5 does not have the latest yet it still is a top of line phone. What seems to be going on with your device? There is always something wrong with it. It's slow. Battery drains in half
a day with moderate activity. The camera used to be great now it's not even
good. The phone worked great and then everytime it gets updated it gets
worse. The phone has not functioned properly since the 5.0 update. The
latest update screwed up studio where it unfortunately stops when you try
to open it. This is the 3rd phone in less than 2 years. Had 2 screens fail.
Factory data resets do not fix how slow it is and battery drain. I have
tried safe mode. I feel like this was a faulty product from day one. I
don't want another S5. I want a fully functioning phone for the first time
since I have been with Verizon. Every phone I have ever had from you gets
upgraded and then it doesn't work.

Here's just ONE thing that has been brought up here before and it was clear that you didn't even know what the OP was talking about:
SOUNDCAMP
I've wanted to use this Samsung app for a while but I can't because Verizon won't issue an update to the S5. Here's what Samsung say about the issue (yes, it's ONLY VERIZON that has this problem):
[Urgent Notice for "Galaxy S5" Verizon users] In the "Galaxy S5" Verizon with the latest firmware released in December, Soundcamp does not work with the message, 'SAPA is not working'. We are really sorry about this issue. We requested the firmware team to release the fixed firmware as soon as possible.

Yet, here we are in March and NOTHING.
Can you respond with exact details regarding Soundcamp and spare me the "It's always such a nice and great treat to get an update for the phone?"
