Purple Dots on Front Facing Camera

I have a S6 Edge that I purchased new last April, I never really used the front facing camera until about a month ago and noticed that there are purple spots every time I take a picture. After some research I now know that this is a known issue however since I made my purchase last year will I still be eligible to get a replacement?

No one likes to see spots in their selfies. We want all your front facing pictures beautiful and spot free. Have you powered the phone off and on? Does this happen in all front-facing pictures or does it vary depending on the light?
