USAA bank users or mobile bank users

I use the USAA bank app for my banking. Although when trying to use the deposit@mobile, were you take a pic of the front and the back of your check I have a problem. I can take the pic of the front of the check but not the back of the check. The camera will focus on the back but not actually take the pic. USAA tech support can't help.

I haven't tried it yet. If I get a check within the next week or so I will try it and let you know.

What different ways have you tried to get the picture to take (i.e. slightly offset the camera or hold it a little farther away from the check)?

Also, have you signed the check? Many checks have a pattern on the back so that it is hard to machine duplicate them (which could make them hard to photograph as well). A signature would give the camera something to focus on.

Also, try taking the picture on a flat surface with a mono color (solid color).

Sometimes the focus will pull away from the copy protection on checks.

Your post about the no duplication mark got thinking about lighting. Sure enough once I put more light on the check it took the pic. Worked great.
