I just checked my order status and now it shows my S7 Edges wont be shipped until 3/31! Anyone else seeing this?!
From 2/23/16 through 3/18/16, purchase a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge on device payment. For details to claim the free Samsung Gear S2 or Gear VR offer, visit SamsungPromotions.com/VerizonOffer. Offer claim form and valid purchase receipt must be submitted online by 3/31/16 at 11:59:59 PM EST. Subject to verification, customers will receive offer within approximately 4–6 weeks after verification of offer claim.
What color did you order and when?
2 silver order the first day of preorder.
Sadly, yes. Just had a chat with a Verizon representative. :smileysad:
Cool thanks for the info!
So, in order to get either Gear S2 or the Gear VR, we have to submit the paperwork to Samsung by midnight 3/31. The submission must include the IMEI and WiFi MAC of the new phone so this cannot be accomplished before we get the phone. There are also a limited number of "gifts" available (300,000) and it's first-come, first-served.
Basically, what Verizon is doing is screwing those of us that pre-ordered a Silver S7 Edge out of a promotion item that their website says we qualify for. There's no way there will be any of these promotional items left on the last day of the promotion, ESPECIALLY considering the Gear VR promotion is also open to T-Mobile and AT&T and they are ALREADY getting their phones.
My Question, what will Verizon do for its customers to make this right?

Well, Verizon Wireless Customer Support? Are you gonna respond and take care of your customers or let them be lost to other carriers? If I didn't get a discount through my employer I would honestly not still be with Verizon. The CS is AWFUL.
Lets take it to twitter :smileyhappy:
Ceebee1209, being an early adopter has it’s perks, and we will help show you the way towards getting in on this promotional offer. On the promotion page here https://promos.samsungpromotions.com/gearvr/enterverizon it states that starting Friday, March 4 at 10 am EST you will need your reciept to get the process started.

Unfortunately the website states that adding the email address will only provide notification/reminder on when the registration open (March 4th. But the submission must include the IMEI and WiFi MAC of the new phone so this cannot be accomplished before we get the phone
Is there a workaround?
Did Verizon delete your other thread?
Hopefully they don't run out of the 35K S2 watches by the time I get my phone tomorrow. I requested the 2 day shipping when I ordered the phone vs next day thinking I wouldn't miss out on the VR promotion. Now that they sweetened the deal with the S2, I regret only asking for 2 day. On top of those getting the phone on the east coast before I do in the west coast, my chance look slim.
It appears that any one who has not already received their phone AND submitted paperwork to Samsung (regardless of what Verizon says) is going to be seriously disappointed since Samsung says they have reached the limit of units specified in the promotion. Talk about the classic bait and switch! Any one in this group who at least partially made the decision to purchase these phones based on this promo has been had.
