vertical line in middle of screen

I have begun seeing a light pink solid vertical line going from top to bottom of my screen. I thought it might be water damage so I put the phone into a desiccant for a full week. The phone is working otherwise. The screen is not crack and is operating normally otherwise. Is it a defective phone, wet battery or something else.
