Trouble connecting bluetooth device?

Hi there. I have an S7 Edge. Tried to pair my bluetooth earpiece (I take a lot of calls for work) and it never recognized my device. I even tried my backup earpiece...it did not find that one either during the scan. Any thoughts?

I did the whole turn the bluetooth off and powered the earpiece off and back on.

Did you get an answer to this? I'm having the same issue. It won't find any bluetooth devices available.

No, unfortunately I have not. I was able to connect via bluetooth to my car yesterday without any issues, but no success yet with earpieces. Hopefully soon.

I also have not had any luck getting my s7 Edge to connect to the bluetooth in my car as it's not recognizing any devices. Frustrating as I can;t get my wifi to work on my phone either...

I am having the same trouble pairing with my car and my wireless headset.

I don't see anywhere that this is an acknowledged issue.

Anyone have an update on this?

Over 2 weeks and still can't pair my ear pieces. Very frustrating!

Did you ever figure this out? I don't have trouble connecting to bluetooth, but over the past week I've had a heck of a time STAYING connected. If that's not annoying enough, sometimes when I try to reconnect, it locks up the phone to the point where I have to reboot.

I'm happy you don't have issues with connecting to blue-tooth but I understand the frustration in constantly being disconnected cyrilla09. Does your phone have the latest software? How long have you had this issue?

I am having problem with bluetooth disconnects in 2011 Mini Countryman. Several other phones work fine (Apple and Android). Phone and audio, over bluetooth. I paid Mini to look at bluetooth. Software current on car and working with several of their phones also. The disconnects get irritating enough to car that it wipes out all past and current connections(other phones stored). I have tried the Verizon troubleshooter, Including reseting all wireless via backup and restore. Stopping and starting Bluetooth Share. Clearing the partition cache and more. Have other issues with phone also but unrelated to topic.

I am having the same problem. I emailed the bluetooth speaker manufacturer. Their response gave me the same information I found when "googling" my issue.

Their response :

"This unit has Bluetooth version 2.1

Please check the Bluetooth version on your Galaxy S7 smart phone. In case your phone has an advanced Bluetooth version, then it will pair with your iLive speaker only if it is backward compatible"

Maybe this will help you, but it brought more confusion for me. How do I know if I am "backward compatible?

We want to make sure that you can connect to your vehicle Bluetooth. Being able to connect makes things so much easier when commuting. Thank you providing the steps that you already completed. Are you able to connect your S7 to other Bluetooth devices? Will your phone search for your vehicles Bluetooth while in the car?

Can connect to BT speakers fine. No disconnects. Connects to car but keeps disconnecting every 20 seconds. Other phones Apple and Android have connected and worked with car fine. Dealership checked car. Has current software.

since day 1 i had the s7 the bluetooth does not work. when scanning it does not see my truck or my headphones my previous phone s4 had no problems with this at all. tried clearing the bluetooth cache with no results.

i have the non edge s7. when it scans for devices it picks up some random devices but none of the mine devices such as my truck and my headphones. i tried clearing the cache in the blue tooth but it never did anything different. i am ready to give up honestly. pretty much out of ideas right now.

I'm so sorry you're having these issues with your bluetooth connection on the S7. I see some previous replies from us, and just wanted to ask if you are working privately with another rep? I see that there was a post that a Private Message was sent to you.

I also wanted to ask if you have checked with the dealer about the bluetooth connection in your vehicle? Has it ever connected?

My previous phone was a S4 and I had no problems with it connecting via Bluetooth to my truck or any other vehicle that I was in that had the Bluetooth option. Now with the S7 it doesn't see any near by devices at all I have been in different vehicles and tried using the Bluetooth to connect and still nothing. The issue is with my phone not with my vehicle.
