No voicemail notifications!

Since I switched to Verizon and activated my new Galaxy S6 several months ago, I realized I have not recieved ANY notification when a new voicemail is recieved.

I've gone to settings for voicemail and the box is checked for VM notifications. I've tried using the personal settings menu during a call to voicemail and had no luck there either. Please help! I've missed some very important work related messages.....

Thanks for reaching out. Just to clarify, have you tried accessing your Voicemail through the application? What happens when you dial *86 from your device?

I can access voicemail messages just fine through the app, dialing #86 and through pressing and holding the 1 button in dial mode. My complaint is that I never get notified that a new voicemail has been recieved. I never know until I manually check my voicemail inbox.

Same problem. I didn't know I had voice mail messages until someone told me my mailbox was full. Never got notified. If I go to voicemail, I have to go through the decline advanced voicemail - every. single. time. Basically, I have to 'know' I have voicemail and call the *86, which is a [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] , I used to be able to go to the voicemail icon and connect to my voicemail. I'm really sorry I got this phone.

phone just updated to Marshmallow yesterday and still no notifications. There has to be a way to fix this. There are many S6 users experiencing the same issue, please follow up on this.

Same problem here. The only voicemail notification I get takes me into the visual voice mail setup, which I do not want to use. How can I get voicemail notifications like I used to on the S4?
