Verizon message+ texting video changed?

I've been using message+ app instead of the stock texting app. I take a lot of video clips and send via text message. I usually hit take video and it starts recording. Now as of yesterday, something has changed. I now have to hold to take video. Instead of hitting record. I do not want to hold the button to record.

Are you using app version 6.2.3, the market build? I thought that bug was fixed in the update.

Yes. 6.2.3. It's still doing the same thing. Must hold button to take video.

Everything was fine until 2 or 3 days ago. I did not update anything myself.

Also it gives me an the option to take a photo or gif. It's almost seems like a different texting app is installed. The layout is totally different.

It is difficult to get use to how a phone operates. Updates are suppose to enhance your service. With the latest update this is a required action and cannot be changed. Are there any other applications that have this issue as well?
