SD card not recognized

Ever since the most recent update (G935VVRU2APB5), my S7 Edge does not recognized any SD cards. Sometimes it says 'encrypting sd card', but most of the time it doesnt recognize it. In setttings--Storage--portable storage, it says 'SD Card Ready'. I select it, but there is no response.

I have tried with both Lexar and SanDisk SD Cards. I booted in safe mode (no change) and I also chatted with Samsung support. They told me to contact Verizon. Does anyone have the same problem?

Welcy, I want to make sure that we get your device up and running with out any issues with your SD card. Sounds like you've done quiet a few different steps already. Have you been able to test the SD cards in other devices at all to see if the same error comes up?
