Why can't I move many of the apps to the sd card?

There are numerous pre-loaded, and a few downloaded, apps on my S5 using a lot of internal memory. I've tried to move them to the SD card but when I select the App the "Move to SD Card" option is greyed out and not active. As a result, internal memory is down to less than 10% of the total available. Also, those that could be moved do not work after they are moved.

How do I solve these problems?

You can move photos, videos, music, and documents to the SD card to free up space on the phone. Apps need to be installed on the internal memory, although app data may be moved (in some cases) to the SD card.

MarvF, I love keeping my device nice and clean so that it runs smoothly. Some apps such as preloaded apps are required to run through the internal storage. This is why you do not have the option to move to the SD Card. In regards to apps not running from the SD card; what kind and size of SD card do you have?

No. Android does not allow moving apps to SD.
