Got my new S7 on 3/11, and spent hours downloading apps and getting the phone customized to my liking. I bought a bunch of new accessories for my new phone, including a selfie stick. On 3/13, I decided to try out my selfie stick, and I clamped my phone in it, and about 15 seconds later, I saw that the phone was doing a reset. I immediately called Verizon support, and they said that if the buttons on both sides of the phone are pressed at the same time for 10 seconds, the phone will automatically do a factory reset, and lock up for 72 hours. They claim that it is a new safety feature. I call it a pain in the ass. So beware - make sure that when using a selfie stick you do not have the buttons on the side of the phone pressed in.
