I am able to make and receive calls. I am able to recieve texts. I am not getting any messages. How do I fix this problem? I am on a plan with unlimited calls and texts. I have a Samsung galaxy 5s and have had it over a year. Please help! Thanks.

I have a memory card with 28.10GB and my phone has 5.45GB of storage. I am currently using Verizon Messages. And right now my text messages are working fine. But earlier my phone was saying 3G instead of 4G and wouldn't allow me to connect to the internet. I have over 1Gb left to use on my plan, plus I was on wi-fi! I've tried turning off wi-fi. Ive turned data off and on. And it's just been acting like this, this week. Thank u for your help thus far.
