I just changed my plan to get the 450 select w/unlimited text. Does "Unlimited text" include sending pics/videos to non Verizon customers? Also will I be charged if I used it to update a facebook page?
The select plan includes text/picture/video and mobile IM usage to and from anyone in the United States. It does not matter what carrier they have.
As far as facebook is concerned, you do want to be aware of any possible Megabyte (date) usage that can incur when using the web. What I would recommend is using your phone to upload your pictures to pix place, which you can do by going to the picture and going to options and selecting "Send to pix place", at that point it will send the picture as picture message to your My Verizon.
There you can simply set that picture to your facebook account by saving it to your PC and uploading to face book.
Any web usage on your phones browser is not covered under the Select plan.
Any time you make a change during your billing cycle , your bill will prorate into the rest of the month, meaning only part of the month will be covered from when you changed. Hence why on your bill you'll see in some cases overage on one half of the month but not the other.
The best way to avoid this to try and have your plans backdated ( made effective for the beginning of your bill cycle). This can't be done if you're trying to go down in plan, but if you are gonig up, what has already been written during the month can be reversed by a backdate as long as it's before your next bill cycle.
In other words, depending on where you make the change, make sure you ask for an estimate of how your bill will appear after having made the chanegs. Customer service has tools to calculate what potential overages or partial billings can occur as result of your change, and then recommend options to prevent that from occuring.

I plan on getting a hold of someone to fix this mistake. This makes the 2nd billing cycle( just signed up with verizon just a little more than a month ago) that has been messed up.
