S7 Edge Wi Fi connection issues.

I'm having problems connecting Wi Fi at home. I currently have att universe high speed. I have two galaxy tablets connected with no issues. I formally had a S 5 connected. My S 7 edge is showing connected but it won't download or update android apps. When I try I get the buffering ring. I have reset my connection, router, phone many times.I purchased the vz protection plan. Anyone else experiencing this drama? Any suggestions.?

after the 2 rest of my modem router it seems to help everything looks to be back to normal

Congrats on the new device, Klickon50. I would be as concerned as you if I was unable to download or update any applications while connected to WiFi as that is incredibly important to keep your mobile data usage manageable. Let's figure out what is going on. Have you tried to do these actions on mobile data? Are you able to browse the web on WiFi?

Out of curiosity, is your bluetooth on? If it is, try turning it off. I have read elsewhere that some users are having trouble with WiFi when their S7 bluetooth is on, but not connected to any bluetooth devices. Once they turn off their bluetooth, their WiFi works. I don't have an S7, so I don't have experience with this, but maybe worth a shot.

s7 edge Wifi bug slow to no connection

Not sure else to go to report my Wifi issue on my new s7 edge Looks like I got hit with the Wifi bug. It doesn't matter where I am trying to get wifi hotels work home connecting to wifi slow to not connecting. Ive tried turning off bluetooth. i've talked to verizon support the told me to restrict all the background running apps restart the phone they told me to use repair assistant softaware upgrade assistant (samsung nothing works i hope they come up with a fix fast i depend on the wifi. This is the only reason I gave it a bad rating i never had this type of issue with my old note 3 connecting to my home wifi. Soon as I take it off of wifi internet works fast its just using up my mobile gigs not cool

This seems to be a very common issue, specifically with wireless routers that support both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Go into the Advanced settings in the Wi-Fi menu of the phone, and look for Wi-Fi Frequency Band. Change it from the default Automatic selection to 2.4 GHz only, and this seems to fix the problem for most users.

Cannot connect to Wi-Fi

Turn the device and the router off for at least ten seconds, then turn them back and retry the connection.
Go to Settings – Power saving and ensure that this option is turned off.
Use the Wi-Fi Analyzer to check how crowded your channel is, and switch to a better option.
Forget the Wi-Fi connection by going to Settings – Wi-Fi and long tapping the connection you want, then selecting “Forget”. Re-enter the details and try again.
Make sure the router firmware is up to date.
Make sure the applications and software on the device are up to date.
Go into Wi-Fi – Settings – Advanced and make a note of your device MAC address, then make sure that it is allowed access in the router’s MAC filter.

All is working now I rest set the router after second reset same to be back

to normal
