I found out how to get to get to the driving mode on my Samsung 6 after days of reading blogs and dealing with it going off constantly. I wanted to post the information to help others avoid the frustration. Keep in mind. Driving mode is a great feature and a safety one. The key is not to force stop it or turn it off completely. What I think will work for most people is to just have it turn on only when you are driving and that will be activated by your blue tooth connection in your car or hands free. Here is what works:
From your main screen go to your verizon messenger. It will be within a Verizon Apps box and labeled Message+.
1. Once in Verizon messenger you will see all of your texts, but in the upper left are three lines, tap on the three lines to bring up the menu which shows the 'driving mode' slider from 'off' to 'on', but this is if you want to manual turn it on. Leave it off here. You don't want it on unless you are driving.
2. Tap on the 'Settings' leave the default settings here.
3. Tap on 'Driving Mode'. This is the bluetooth detection choices. Paired devices show up. You will select only 'Hands Free'. Any other devices that may show up you should not activate unless you want those activating your Drive Mode.
4. There is a place to 'Enable Auto-Glympse' which will tell those you have under your 'Manage Auto-Glympse Contacts" where you are located. I have enabled that for my husband and sons in case of an accident, but you can un-check as well.
5. If you are using Auto-Glympse then go into Auto-Glympse and put in the cell numbers of those you are giving permission to know you whereabouts.
6. Click 'Driving Mode Auto-Reply' as that will automatically send a text to anyone texting you while driving saying that you are driving and will get back to them.
7. You can tailor the Driving Auto-Reply Message by clicking on that and saying what you prefer if you don't like the default reply.
These steps will ensure that driving mode only comes on when you are in hands free mode driving your car. Doing this will not have the phone going into 'drive mode' on its own and will keep you safe when you are driving as it was designed to do.
Hope this helps.
