pandora stops over wifi

My new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will only play 2 or 3 songs via Pandora over my work wifi network. Then it just stops and keeps buffering. The ads show but the music won't play again until I close the app and restart it, only to have the same thing happen 2 or 3 songs later. I never had this problem with my LG G3 over the wifi network at work. Any thoughts?

Let’s work towards a solution to help get the device connected to the WiFi and able to use the service, Navyscuba. I wonder if Doze is shutting it off? I have to go into Doze settings & tell it to allow music streaming apps or it does the same thing to me. (This on a Lollilpop phone)

there's no setting for doze, the phone recognizes it's not in a pocket or being carried....doze works well & has improved battery life.

Unfortunately not sure how to do it with Marshmallow?

I added it to my Moto x (running Lollipop) & controlled behavior by opening the Doze app & white listed what I wanted to keep the phone awake.

The suggestions so far on this have been a great base camp on getting this fixed, cmac1984. Let's look at a few more settings. The first is called Smart Switch. Make sure this is off in this setting location: Setting > Wi-Fi > MORE > Advanced.
On top of this, let's see if Bluetooth has an effect. The way to test this is by turning Bluetooth off, and seeing if the behavior continues. Certainly keep us posted on your progress.

Do you have any other apps that do this? (i Heart Radio, Tune In, Spotify, etc . . . . ). Any app that Doze doesn't recognize as "high priority" will let the phone go to sleep.

Also check to make sure your Wi-Fi isn't in energy saving mode. This may be causing Wi-Fi to turn off when the screen goes dark. You can find it under advanced Wi-Fi settings. It's called "Wi-Fi optimization" on my phones, but may have a different name on your Samsung.

Smart Switch is and has been off. Still no resolution to the problem.

I listen to sound cloud as well. It doesn't stop as frequently but does

I also have this problem over WiFi and my network. I have tried different apps like spot a fly and rhapsody and neither my downloaded or streaming songs play for more then 7-12 minso. The longest I have streamed for is 30 min on samsung milk app. This is very frustrating for me since I work in a clean room lab I can't be ungowning to push play every 15 min

Maybe the phone update that was released today will fix your problem. One of the fixes says, "Fixes WiFi issues"

OK so I was talking to an IT tech at work and so far it has been working i won't know till tomorrow if it was a true fix. GOTO SETTING, BATTERY, top right hit MORE, OPTIMIZE BATTERY USAGE, down panel ALL APPS, then TURN OFF the music app you use. My Music played for a FULL 2 HOURS but the real test will be through my 8hr shift tomorrow.

All my apps work but not in wifi. Pandora works all the long as long as is not wifi. My apps won't work on it. I'm starting to believe is made on purpose.

Verizon is sending me a replacement device tomorrow because of the

warranty. I will see if it behaves the same way.

I am having the exact same issues!!! I did a network reset, factory reset, safe mode,deleted every 3rd party add-on app and even a new s6 and still have the same buffering issue.

This also happens with Amazon music too. On both wand using data.

I tried chatting with a Samsung Rep, but my network connection on my phone disconnected and got dropped from the chat window.

I have easily spent 6 hours trying to fix this and have gotten no where. It is so frustrating listen to music when I have no idea if it is going to play the next song or not. At home I actually use an old iPhone 4 to listen to music cause my s6 is so frustrating.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated!!
