how to download photos from verison cloud

I just did an update on my Verizon Samsung Note 5. Now when I plug phone into my laptop it doesn't show the phone in my devices on laptop. I use to be able to copy new photos that I wanted to store in my laptop from phone. Now it doesn't show phone so I can copy new photos.

How do I now copy photos from phone to laptop?

With the Marshmallow operating system, the default USB mode is charging only.  Pull down the notification shade and tap where it says Connected for Charging, then change it to Transferring Media Files.
