Galaxy S6 Google Play store not downloading apps over wifi

Google Play store not downloading apps over Wi-Fi after "upgrade" to Marshmallow. The phone is connected to Wi-Fi and I can connect to the Internet and download apps from Amazon and Samsung even while phone is in airplane mode.

Already tried clearing cache and data and all the other troubleshooting stuff found online. I even performed a factory reset. I also made sure my Wi-Fi router is not blocking anything.

Google Play store will downloading apps over the cell network.

Please test with the device powered up in Safe Mode: http://vz.to/1Mut5iM and let me know if the applications download while in Safe Mode.

No, Play Store would not download in safe mode.

Verizon_Support

I know how important it is to connect to the play store and download the programs thats needed. Just to make sure is this only with specific applications or all applications?

All applications. This only applies to the Google App Store. Amazon and Samsung App Stores download fine over wifi.

I'm also having the same thing on my phone s6 edge +. I could not update Google Play Services unless i was on cell data. My app notifications do not show up till i turn off my wifi. None of my apps will update over wifi for the playstore. What are the fixes Verzion?
