When I touch the home button the screen stays blank

I have the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. When I touch the home button my screen stays black and I end up having to restart my phone. I've already done a factory reset but I'm still having the same issues. Is anybody else having the same problems or know any other fixes?

The Galaxy S7 has such an awesome sleek design, I am surprised to hear you are having issues so soon. We appreciate you providing the steps you have already taken in efforts to get your phone fixed. Does your phone have any damage? Are you using a case or screen protector?

There is no physical damage to the screen. It looks like there's dead pixels on the side of my screen. I haven't yet gotten a case for it. I can use it after I restart it but once it "goes to sleep" I can't get to my home screen. It just stays black.

If you are within your 14 day return window then take it back and exchange it. Sounds like a hardware issue.
