All Note 4 users on Verizon are asking the same question I am. When will we get Marshmallow? It's been a while and I was hoping to get some insight as to when this will be. I am desperately seeking this update. Any ETA when?
Getting the newest update is always exciting. While we don't have an exact date, you can always keep up to date here http://vz.to/1PABezYJosephT_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupportIf my response answered your question please click the 'Correct Answer' button under my response. Did you ask Samsung?
Yep, they say it's out already but the carrier has to push it. They have to do whatever they need to do with it like add the cloud... blah blah blah. So, it's in Verizon's hands now. We're waiting on them.
So a low level rep told you that... Yet they couldn't tell you exactly the date it was finished and who the lead developer for the project was. Let alone when the International version of their devices would be updated or if the update is finished or not. See the disconnect there? How would they know own the information they gave you when they do not even know their own internal information.
That's just some food for thought.
Not true. Samsung builds it then sends it to VZW to have it modified with added software. All the other carrier versions have been getting it. Its just how long VZW holds it before releasing it to the public.
I have been wondering the same thing. Most of my friends have their update on other carriers so i googled and apparently Verizon slowest at updates in the world. Which is a huge bummer to me since i like everything up to date. I wonder how many customers switch for this reason alone.

Verizon Wireless isn't always the slowest to release updates. The Note 4 actually got an update recently in February. Since this update wasn't Marshmallow, one could conclude that the Samsung team working on the update hadn't started on the Marshmallow update yet. An example of VZW not being last is Note 5 T-Mobile Galaxy Note 5 And S6 Edge+ Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Updates which saw the Marshmallow update on the Verizon model second after Sprint with T-Mobile after the Verizon model. AT&T is still waiting for their update.
My guess would be September this year. The new update is already been rolling out to people in many other countries, and has already rolled out to some of the other carriers. Verizon is known to hold onto updates for months before they decide to release it. They do this so people will buy newer phones to get the latest Android os, instead of holding onto their old phones longer. It's a money making scheme that they use, and we all know how evil it is. Then again, they would sell more Note4's if they did update it more quicker. Remember we were all stuck with lollipop 5.0.1 for 9 months and for those 9 months, people had some serious issues, so they directed everyone to buy the Note5 instead. The Verizon support team hates updating phones, and does not care for their customers. It's why many of us are deciding to leave or have left already. I've made my decision when the Note 6 or Nexus 7p comes out later this year, which i'm switching carriers and buying an unlocked phone.
The above link shows that it doesn't always happen like you said it does...
This is a lot of blah blah. I switched from Sprint 16 months ago and I can't believe I'd regret doing so. My Note 4 has been the worst phone (ever) dating back to my Treo days. You're too slow with your updates and too uncommunicative and insensitive to the customer for my liking. Thanks to Werizon, my next phone will be with another carrier and it won't be a Samsung.
Where are you getting your information? I worked for a carrier for 8 years and we had our own team do soak tests not Samsung. Samsung would release a build and we would test it first. Samsung never specifically made different builds for each carrier that i was aware of. Does Verizon Pay Samsung to work on a special builds for Verizon phones?
So you worked for one carrier. Did you try working for another carrier?
Aside that manufacturers already admitted they have different builds and different teams working on updates for the past 4 years, but no one listened to them.
Now while Verizon dwindles their fingers and waiting for days and weeks before they release another update, AT&T just now released the MM update for the LG G3. That's a phone that is 2 generations older. So [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] is taking so [removed] long? My guess is they are holding off as long as possible so people will buy a new phone with MM instead. This is called GREED! Verizon doesn't care about supporting their phones at all, especially the Note4 or the 5. I'm sure they will sensor this post as they don't like listening to the opinions of their customers. They know how much they hate us! But love our $$money. Look how long it took for them to release Lollipop 5.1.1 which finally fixed the issues a lot of people had with the Note4. We got that in Jan of 2016, that's really messed up for what they did to us.
And LG released the Marshmallow update for the Verizon LG G3 back in March 2016. You are pointing fingers at the wrong company. Samsung is who is working on the update not Verizon Wireless.
Your answer was not really useful at all. The link tells me I received my last update on 02/05/16. I already know I have that 1. The question is when is Verizon going to release 6.0 to us? Quite making excuses and give us a date for release.
This was meant for the Verizon response earlier. LOL
I agree. I asked the same question on Facebook yesterday, and they posted the same [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] link.
ANSWER THE [removed] QUESTION.
Again.. Baloney reply.. Stop the lies and canned replies..
